The CNR-IOM account can be accessed in 2 ways
IMAP Incoming Server: imap.iom.cnr.it SSL port 993 Normal password Outgoing server: smtp.iom.cnr.it STARTTLS port 587 Normal password The webmail interface is offered just as a facility for the situation in which a full-featured client is unavailable. The preferred way of accessing the mailbox is by using an IMAP client like Mozilla Thunderbird. The user home directory has currently the size of 2GB. The limit on received messages is set to 20MB (in any case) while sending using the webmail is limited to 15MB. To send e-mail outside of the CNR-IOM main quarters the authenticated SMTP service is available. Please note: by attaching a file to an email the file has to be encoded and its size will be bigger than on your hard disk. |
