Mozilla Thunderbird Configuration

For the Incoming server select IMAP and insert the host imap.iom.cnr.it.

The Incoming User Name: is the email address at the iom.cnr.it domain.

For the Account name you can leave the default, as it will be you email address.

After the account creation right click on the recently created account in the left pane and choose Properties, then go on Server Settings" and click on SSL' in the Security Settings'' section.

Quota support

To display the available quota on your account in the lower right corner of Thunderbird you have to go to Edit --> Preferences --> Advanced --> Config Editor and insert in the filter mail.quota and change the value of mail.quota.mainwindow_threshold.show to 0. The quota will be now always shown in green if it is below the warning treshold (yellow) or critical (red).

LDAP - Addressbook

Click on Composition & Addressing and under Addressing select Use a different LDAP server:. After that click on Edit Directories an Add

Insert the following data:

Name:	CNR-IOM
Hostname:	ldap.iom.cnr.it
Base DN	domainName=iom.cnr.it,o=domains,dc=iom,dc=cnr,dc=it
Port number:	636
Bind DN:	`mail=$USER@iom.cnr.it,ou=Users,domainName=iom.cnr.it, o=domains,dc=iom,dc=cnr,dc=it`
Use secure connection(SSL)	Checked

Replace $USER with your username, then click on Advanced and insert in the Search filter:

(accountStatus=active)
(enabledService=displayedInGlobalAddressBook)

click OK and then again click Ok on the Server list.
